Disabled member veterans who engage .....

Disabled member veterans who engage themselves in a group business contribute ETB 3,000.00 to help the educational support service of orphan and destitute children of member veterans. These are organized themselves by the name “Selam Trading” to work in area of agriculture and service business were awarded for their successful achievements and are testimonials of the self-help program support of TDVA. Selam trading is owned by 11 war disabled veterans and creates a job opportunity for hundred of casual and recurrent employees in their vicinity.

A consultation workshop was held on the IRISH AID funded ILO .....

A consultation workshop was held on the IRISH AID funded ILO program from February 20 to 21, 2008 at Hilton Hotel. The program has six immediate objectives of which TDVA, as a local partner has been executing some of those objectives and is represented in the workshop by its Liaison office in Addis Ababa. In the consultation workshop a detail evaluation is made following the presentation of national program coordinators. The workshop participants forward their comments in developing a 3rd phase program in furthering the program objectives and strides with a better strategic approach. New program focus areas in addressing various policy issues and related to capacity building are forwarded to get attention in ensuring the program.

The 33rd anniversary of TPLF colorfully celebrated in Dedebit and Shire Endaselassie......

The 33rd anniversary of TPLF colorfully celebrated in Dedebit and Shire Endaselassie in the presence of higher government officials and representatives of various organizations and communities. In one of the event program organized by the regional government more than 50% of the awarded successful farmers and entrepreneurs are war disabled member veterans of TDVA. During the event TDVA representative express its due appreciation to the self-help efforts and success of its member veterans and the community in general. He also calls up on the need to join our efforts in the fight against poverty.
