The main activities of the center include
• Production of prosthetics and orthotics appliances
• Production of rehabilitation equipment
• Physiotherapy treatment
• Providing free services for people who cannot   afford to pay
• Research and development in the field of   rehabilitation technology of orthopedics appliances

Though attempts have been made by TDVA, as part of its physical rehabilitation program, to provide sponsored services for those who could not afford to buy the required appliances and provide accommodation facility in the center, it is still not in a position to secure its financial sources that could enable it to extensively and effectively provide its services. Further some of the appliances like wheelchairs are not yet being manufactured in Ethiopia. For this the center and TDVA are trying to solicit and import wheelchairs from donors overseas. Recently the TDVA lunched a pilot project in collaboration with MOTIVATION to research on and produce wheelchairs locally.
